We're kicking off our good deed for the year (and shameless self-publicising trumpet-tooting) by providing power to the storage container for Leamington's LWS Night Shelter who supply hot food and a place to sleep for the homeless.
We were contacted by Laura, a valued past client of ours, in January as she was looking for an electrical contractor that could provide power at relatively short notice to a metal shipping container delivered to site at St. John's Church. This is to serve as the new food storage facility following their having to leave the previous premises at Leamington Priors Club.
A January delivery from Pentalver Container Sales who generously donated the container.
Supplying power from the PME service in the church hall to a metal box outside required some hoop jumping to ensure compliance with Section 717 of BS7671, but we were able to complete and certify on time and at no charge allowing continuous service as the shelter transitioned from their old site to this one.
Post installation with Sarah from LWS and the lights on before the winter darkness kicks in!
The shelter is seeking a permanent home so may be on the move again in the future. In the meantime, donations of time, food or hard cash can be made through the LWS website.
Not to mention all the great work we do for charidee...
